Why does your hair look better on holiday?

You know the feeling. A week away, and your hair is softer, shinier and easier to manage. Then you come home, and within days it's back to frizz, dullness and that straw-like feel no product seems to fix.

It's not just the sun or the fact that you're relaxed. The water coming out of your shower is different from place to place. Most tap water is treated with chlorine to keep it safe to drink. That's a good thing, but chlorine can leave hair and skin feeling dry, tight and dull, wash after wash.

You've probably blamed your shampoo, your conditioner, even your hair type. It may be what you're rinsing everything off with.

Holiday hair, at home

The Holiday Hair Filter swaps onto your existing shower arm in about five minutes, with no tools and no plumber needed. Your water passes through a KDF-55 and carbon filter designed to reduce chlorine before it touches your hair and skin.

The result is a shower that feels softer and gentler, and hair that feels more like your hair again.

What it does, and what it doesn't

Most shower filter brands won't tell you this. We'd rather you buy with the full picture.

❌ It doesn't remove limescale minerals. No shower-head filter can. If you want spot-free glass, you need a whole-house softener.

Easy to fit, easy to keep going

1. Unscrew your old shower head. Keep it, which is handy if you're renting.
2. Wrap the thread with the tape included.
3. Screw on your Holiday Hair Filter by hand. Done.

Change the filter every 2–3 months, or sooner if you notice the water pressure dropping. We'll email you a reminder, so you never have to guess.

FAQ

Will it reduce my water pressure?
It's designed to keep strong pressure. If your pressure drops over time, that's your signal the filter is full and ready to change.

Will it fit my shower?
It fits most standard shower arms with a ½-inch thread (the common size in Ireland, the UK and the US). Not sure? Send us a photo and we'll check before you order.

My filter has turned brown. Is that normal?
Yes. That's what it has caught and kept off your hair and skin. Change it when the pressure drops or it's reached its replacement date.

Does it soften hard water?
No, and be wary of any shower filter that claims it does. It reduces chlorine, which is the main cause of that dry, stripped feeling.

I rent. Is that OK?
Absolutely. It's a simple screw-on swap. Keep your old shower head, put it back when you move, and take your filter with you.
